Dermal Fillers

Treat the signs of aging with dermal fillers and restore your youthful look

By injecting non-permanent dermal fillers to the skin, we

  • Effectively volumise some areas and reduce the appearance of wrinkles which create more youthful contours and smoother skin.
  • ‘Plump up’ small areas such as the lips to enhance those areas of the face.
  • Help prevent future volume loss as well by stimulating collagen, and binding collagen and elastin fibres together.
  • Hydrate and tighten skin because fillers attract and hold water.

Dermal Fillers have an excellent safety profile and are approved by Therapeutic Good Administration (TGA). They are based on hyaluronic acid, which we naturally have in our body. It is reassuring to know that they don’t affect the ability to make facial expressions. They are eventually re-absorbed back into the body after a period of time. After anti wrinkles, dermal fillers have become the most popular non-surgical treatment amongst those who look for facial rejuvenation and beautification. It should be noted that they are most effective when used as preventative measure.

What to expect

During your dermal filler consultation in our clinic which is situated in Parramatta, Sydney, a thorough facial assessment will be attended to determine what type of treatment will enhance your face. There are many different consistencies of dermal fillers available on the market; from very soft ones for delicate area like lips, to denser types for areas like the cheeks and jawline. Their longevity depends on the type of filler and the way it’s been used.

There is also a range of different treatment techniques; each one is administered carefully based on the area of the face. Your injector spends time with you and discusses the treatment options depending on the outcome you want to achieve. The actual treatment does not usually take longer than 30 minutes and you will see the results immediately. The good news is there is no downtime for recovery.

Side Effects

At your initial consultation in our Parramatta clinic, your injector will review your medical history, including allergies and medications to determine whether you are an appropriate candidate for fillers. This thorough consultation would minimise the risks.

All the dermal fillers that we use at Diamond Aesthetics Clinic are based on Hyaluronic Acid, which we have naturally in our bodies. Therefore the chance of developing an allergic reaction to dermal fillers is very slim.

Swelling, redness, firmness, irregularities under the skin and bruising in the injection site are some of the potential side effects associated with dermal fillers treatments. In most cases, these are temporary and should resolve within a week. Very fine needles are used to reduce these risks. More serious complications such as infection, tissue necrosis and blindness are remarkably rare. Fortunately, a solution called Hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve the filler in case a complication occurs or an undesired result needs to be reversed. Please contact your injector if you have any concerns.
